From 1971 to 1983, National Day was celebrated through large-scale garden parties. In the following years, National Day is celebrated in different forms every year. Customs and Habits On National Day, all countries hold celebrations in various forms to strengthen their people's patriotism and enhance national cohesion. Countries also congratulate each other. Every five or ten years, when the National Day comes, some countries will expand the scale of the celebrations. To celebrate National Day, governments usually hold a National Day reception hosted by the head of state, head of government or foreign minister, and invite envoys and other important foreign guests stationed in the local area to attend.
