To fulfill a vow means to always think of good things in life, accumulate virtue and do good deeds, and put them into action. This is to fulfill a vow and keep the Bodhisattva in your heart. It’s not enough to just bow a few times. That’s not the way it works. 7. Burning incense and making wishes is the same. It is not for the Bodhisattva or the gods. This is the incense of precepts and concentration. It is burned for yourself. You should sincerely repent for the bad things you have done in the past, learn from them, stop doing bad things, and cultivate yourself. |
