He also developed a set of hairdressing methods such as pressing, pounding, and holding, and taught them to the eunuchs who combed their hair. The eunuchs used these tools and methods to shave Emperor Yongzheng's head and braid his hair, and Emperor Yongzheng felt very comfortable. When asked the reason, the eunuchs reported that it was Taoist Luo who taught them. Yongzheng bestowed on Taoist Luo the title of "Half-Court Imperial Chariot Master, Little Deacon". Taoist Luo thus became the ancestor of barbers. After his death, he was buried in Baiyun Temple, which is now the "Luo Gong Pagoda". Emperor Yongzheng named him "Danshouyi Zhenren".
