Due to the prevalence of Jingzhe sacrifices, many temples now have lower altars for offering sacrifices to the White Tiger to facilitate believers. The white tigers used for sacrifice usually have fangs and open mouths. Believers believe that if they smear lard on the white tiger's mouth during sacrifice, it will not be able to open its mouth to hurt people; and if they feed the white tiger with eggs, it will not hurt people after it is full.
