There must be a 360° scale around the inner circle and there are two fixed cross longitude and latitude lines on the four sides around the outer square. (1) Sanhe PlateThe main feature of the Sanhe plate is that it is composed of three layers of twenty-four directions, namely, the three rings of the ground plate's main needle, the human plate's middle needle and the sky plate's sewing needle. It is used in combination with the contents of other layers of rings to determine direction, eliminate sand, collect water, etc. The Sanhe Plate is also known as the Yang Gong Plate. According to the research of Mr. Li Dingxin, this is because Yang Yunsong in his later years, in order to facilitate the elimination of sand and the absorption of water, changed it from one stem supporting two earthly branches to a double mountain with one stem supporting one earthly branch, and added layers of rings such as the sky plate sewing needle and seventy-two dragons to the Feng Shui compass.(2) Three-yuan plateThe main feature of the San Yuan Plate is that it has circles of sixty-four hexagrams of the Book of Changes, but generally there is only one layer of twenty-four directions, which is the main needle of the plate. The Yuan Yun can be used to predict the good or bad fortune of the directions. Sanyuan Pan is also known as Jiang Pan or Yi Pan. It is said that Yi Pan was created by Mr. Jiang Dahong.(3) Comprehensive diskThe comprehensive plate is composed of some main circles of the Sanhe plate and the Sanyuan plate. Its main features are that it retains the Sanhe plate's ground needle, the human plate's center needle, the sky plate's seam needle and the Sanyuan plate's Yi Gua layer, as well as other main circles of the two compasses.
