The legends of Feng Shui in modern times

The legends of Feng Shui in modern times
Introduction: Every era has its own folk stories and Feng Shui legends, and the stories are complicated and confusing. So, what Feng Shui stories have been passed down in modern times? Let’s take a look together!

Locking Dragon Well

At the northeast corner of the Beixinqiao intersection in Beijing, there is a "Dragon Locking Well". Legend has it that there is a sea eye at the bottom of the "Locking Dragon Well". This sea eye is unfathomable and leads all the way to the bottom of the sea. The "Locking Dragon Well" is the eye of the sea extending to the land.
Legend has it that the old Dragon King wanted to flood Beijing, but was subdued by Liu Bowen, a Feng Shui master from the Ming Dynasty, and locked in this well with a large iron chain. Liu Bowen left a message: When the bridge becomes old, release the old Dragon King. But people did not build a bridge here. Instead, they built a Yuewang Temple on the well and named this place "Beixinqiao". Now the bridge was gone, and the old Dragon King was trapped in the well forever.
Earlier, this Yuewang Temple was converted into a flower shop, and there really is a well inside, which is said to be the "Dragon Locking Well" of that year. Now, the "Dahua Department Store" has been built here. When building the mall, the workers filled up the well.
It is said that the iron chain in the well cannot be moved, otherwise the city of Beijing will be flooded. There is a folk saying: When Japan invaded China, they forced the people to pull the iron chain in the well, but the chain could not be pulled to the end. As they pulled, black water began to roll up from the well, accompanied by rumbling sounds and a fishy smell. The Japanese soldiers were terrified and quickly put the chain back into the well, covered the well lid, and dared not move again.
Now, this well is near Metro Line 5. When Beijing was building Metro Line 5, the route was changed to avoid this ancient well. Until now, we can still see this well with iron chains.
